When a man becomes sexually aroused, he will emit a seminal liquid prior to ejaculating. This fluid is designed to be a natural lubricate and to clear the urethra tube in the penis of any remaining urine. It is a clear sticky substance with minimal sperm cells.
To understand more about the liquid, it is important to understand the mechanics of the male body and the natural occurrences involved with sexual arousal and activity. The male’s body is designed in an interesting manner that allows several body organs to participate in the sexual relationships.
The male penis has a tube on the inside called the vas deferens. This little tube goes from the penis into the body down to the seminal vesicles. Here is the production of the sperm and other substances in the seminal fluids. The organs that help create the semen are the prostate, the Cowper’s glans, vas deferens, and the seminal vesicles. The results of the combined fluids are the semen when ejaculated.
The pre-ejaculatory liquids are produced by the Cowper’s glands that are released upon arousal or before the final climax of the man. It is a sticky clear liquid that serves to cleanse any acids or urine in the urethra prior to ejaculation. It also helps the sperm to thrive since the tiny cells are unable to survive in an acidy environment. The pre-ejaculated liquid travels the same paths as the ejaculated seminal liquid it often has sperm cells in it but as a lower concentration. The liquid can also carry any diseased organisms including HIV virus or other STDs.
One of the organs or glands that are responsible for the liquid ejaculated during climax is the prostate. It is a large nut-shaped gland that is directly connected to the urethra inside the body located just below the bladder. This is the area where seminal fluids from the seminal vesicles empty into the urethra and where about 30% of the semen is combined. It is a very sensitive gland that often causes health related issues in men at any age. It is important to be careful to monitor the healthy condition of this gland as it has been linked to a deadly form of cancer in men.
The gland is so sensitive that some men often enjoy having it stimulated as part of their sexual encounters. For this to be accomplished, it must be reached internally through the testicular massage with a lubricated gloved finger. This is the same means a physician will check the prostate during the medical procedure.
Once the prostate fluid has been added, the semen is ready to be expelled from the body. This is done through a series of muscle contractions through the urethra that originated in the vas deferens and collected the additional ingredients of the fluid as it passes out the end of the penis.
Pre-ejaculated seminal fluid does have a minimal percentage of impregnating the female as well as exposing her to any STD or HIV disease the man may have.
