Men that suffer from premature ejaculation know the symptoms. The situation occurs when the man climaxes before the partners are ready. The fact that PE happens even with masturbation is something men do not discuss as most feel it is not a topic for discussion. This then leads to anxiety and frustration.
In medical terms, premature ejaculation falls into two categories, primary or lifelong and secondary or acquired. Based on the category the symptoms may be different for each man.
Among the problems that can lead to premature ejaculation are a host of medications, typically taken for other problems.
First off, if you suffer from lupus, MS (multiple sclerosis), or some other autoimmune disorder, your doctor will probably put you on some type of steroid. The reason for this is that these diseases tend to cause swelling in the body, in various organs, and steroids can reduce that swelling. Also, if you have cancer or AIDS, and have lost some of your lean muscles, steroids can help you put more muscle mass on your bones. A side affect of steroids is that they will boost your testosterone level, and this is the male sex hormone. If the level gets too high in your blood, you can end up with premature ejaculation.
About 30% of men have PE or premature ejaculation. It is a condition that affects men physically, mentally and emotionally. Throughout the years, men have tried various methods to resolve the sexual dysfunction but the good news is there is now a medication designed to provide help.
Men often fail to seek medical assistance and treatment since they are embarrassed or feel it is a sign of weakness. Men are sensitive about their sexual performance so for a man to experience PE is a distressing manner. Men with premature ejaculation are often reclusive or depressed as well as suffering in complete silence and misery.
Men who are prone to premature ejaculation suffer sometimes from a psychological problem due to the hypersensitivity of the Glans. The issue is due to the brain being stimulated while sexually aroused and the brain sending signals to the penis causing the erection. After the message is received, the brain sends the message to throughout the entire body. When a man experiences premature ejaculation, he lacks the control of the arousal leading to hypersensitivity of the Glans.
When a man experiences this hypersensitivity the pre-seminal fluid is released from the Cowper’s gland to provide lubrication and cleanout the urethra tube within the penis. If the man fails to have the control over his senses, he will also ejaculate at this point instead of being able to last longer.
